While there are many fan conventions in the Denver area, Myths and Legends Con is a bit different. Taking place at the Sheraton Denver Tech Center from September 27-29, 2013, Myths and Legends Con is an event that celebrates some of the fandoms that do not currently have their own convention in the Mile High City. The annual Starfest Convention took place April 19-21 in Denver, Colorado. A weekend of entertainment overload, the convention has grown to incorporate three hotels and multiple event tracks including science fiction, gaming, robotics, fantasy, horror and comic books. As the popularity of “Doctor Who” is growing in America, so is its presence at local conventions. This year Starfest hosted two “Doctor Who” guests and a multitude of panels and video programming. The 2013 Starfest Convention is set to take place in Denver from April 19-21. Since it began in 1977, the convention has grown and has become a celebration of all science fiction. As “Doctor Who” has grown in popularity, so has its presence at conventions around the country. With three days of amazing programming spanning three hotels, what does the convention offer for Whovians? Well, more than a fan could imagine.
